Solatium handed over to kin of fireman Mr. Rajkumar
Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services Director Dr. C. Sylendra Babu on 25.07.2020 handed over a cheque of Rs. 44.42 lakhs to the family of fire fighter Mr. Rajkumar who lost his life during a rescue operation recently. The amount was contributed by Officers and all the personnel of Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services department. Tamilnadu government has also announced solatium, which will be provided shortly. Director also unveiled Mr. Rajkumar’s portrait at the Thuraimangalam fire station.
Perambalur District Collector Smt. V.Santha IAS, Smt. Meenakshi Vijayakumar, Deputy Director, Central Region were also present in the function. On July 12, Mr. Rajkumar (36) died due to suffocation while rescuing two youths trapped in a well.
