Director visits Indian Tourist and Industrial Trade Fair

    The Director of Tamilnadu Fire and Rescue Services, DGP Mr. Abhash Kumar IPS visited Tamilnadu Fire and Rescue Services Department pavilion at 47th Annual Indian Tourist and Industrial trade Fair, popularly known to the locals as the Theevu Tidal Exhibition at The Island Grounds (Theevu Thidal), Chennai on January 21, 2023.

The Director inquired about the old and modern firefighting equipments, knots and lines, which were exhibited at the pavilion. He appreciated the model of the village fire accident and simulation of rubber boat. He also observed the model of sprinkler system in the basement parking area, which would prevent fire accidents in the event of a fire breaking out in that area.

Fire Personnel demonstrated the operation of spreader, cutter, Combi tool and Bronto Sky lift to the Director. He also inquired about the Scuba Diving Suit, Victim location camera, rope launcher, smoke exhauster, floto pump. Joint Director, Northern Region Tmt. N. Priya Ravichandran,  District Officer, Chennai North Mr. P. Loganathan were present during the visit.
