Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services utilizes the GeM portal for the procurement of  Firefighting appliances, equipment and tools, Rescue and disaster response equipment, Safety gear and protective clothing, Vehicles and related accessories, Communication systems and technical devices, Office equipment and consumables, Maintenance and service contracts.

All purchases are carried out in accordance with Government of India guidelines and the Tamil Nadu Financial Code provisions, ensuring compliance with statutory norms. The Department continuously strives to modernize its procurement practices in line with national digital governance initiatives, ensuring that the citizens of Tamil Nadu receive efficient and reliable emergency response services.
